Coffee Connections is time set aside for military spouses to get together for a fun relaxing morning of sharing stories and experiences, meeting new friends, learning new skills or just having a break. End your busy day with this wonderful practice of mindfulness and gentle movement creating soothing relaxation. This encompasses breathing techniques, passive stretching and quiet meditation to help the body unwind and the mind to calm. Enjoy all aspects of our sessions or feel free to relax and reflect in our peaceful atmosphere. This practice will enrich your life and improve your emotional and physical well-being! We meet once a week in a welcoming, safe non-judgemental environment. Come with an open mind and BREATHE with us… Wednesday evenings 5:30pm-6:30pm in the MFRC lower level. Fun Factory and Youth Corner

Fun Factory and Youth Corner programs are designed to support children in their communication and social development and allows kids to just have fun! Activities and events include: games, arts and crafts, baking and cooking skills, sports and recreation and much, much more! Fun Factory is for ages 5-8 years old and runs on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Youth Corner is for ages 9-12 and runs on Wednesdays from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Both of these programs run out of the Multi-purpose room at the Community Centre-19 market Street. The cost per session is $15 or a $2 drop in fee will apply. Our Winter session will run from January 15th to March 25th All Members must be military dependants of the 22 Wing Defence Team (DND/MFRC/PSP). Military Youth Support Program Featuring Mindmasters

Military Youth Support Program Featuring Mindmasters (Stress Management Techniques for Children ages 7-12) Begins Thursday, February 6 to March 26, 2020 (7 sessions) 6:00 to 7:30 pm At the Community Centre Multipurpose Room 19 Market Street, Hornell Heights Cost:  FREE This program teaches children stress management techniques developed by Dr. Terry Orlick from the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario   To register, come into the MFRC or call 705-494-2011 ext 2053 Please register early, space is limited! Spouses Night Out

  Spouses Night Out is once a month. We plan and host an evening out at a local restaurant, theatre or community event of interest. This event is open to all Military spouses. Participants are responsible for their own expenses unless otherwise stated. Teen Centre Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6-10pm The Teen Centre, located in the Community Centre, 19 Market Street, offers a variety of activities and events that are designed by Teens and supervised by Staff. Parents are welcome to stop by at any time, should they have any questions or concerns. Teens! Come check us out and play a game of pool, Playstation, Wii, or watch movies on our big screen TV, surf the net, meet other teens in the community or just hang out and chat with your friends. We have a wide selection of board games, movies and video games as well as a stocked canteen. Join the Teen Council! We are always looking for new members.
