Coffee Connections is time set aside for military spouses to get together for a fun relaxing morning of sharing stories and experiences, meeting new friends, learning new skills, exploring the community or just having a break. We meet Monday mornings at the Teen Centre from September to June. Come Join us! Half Done Hobbies Last Wednesday of each month starting Sept. 25, 2019 10am-11:30am at the Teen Centre, 19 Market St. (Adults Only) Have you ever experienced a Work Related Absence? If so, come over to the North Bay MFRC’s Teen Centre and pull out the unfinished knitting, hand sewing, quilting, scrapbooking or other projects from the closet and join us to finally get them done as we socialize over a coffee or tea!! Self-Compassion Yoga A perfect way to end your busy day! Join us in the lower level of the MFRC on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm for gentle self-compassion yoga and calming relaxation. No experience necessary! This involves deep breathing, gentle stretching and quiet meditation. Please register early to claim your spot, space is limited! Fun Factory & Youth Corner Fun Factory and Youth Corner programs designed to support children in their communication and social development and allows kids to just have fun! Activities and events include: games, arts and crafts, baking and cooking skills, sports and recreation and much, much more! We will be starting up again Wednesday September 11th. Fun Factory is for ages 5-8 years old and runs from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Youth Corner is for ages 9-12 and runs from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Both of these programs run out of the Multi-purpose room at the Community Centre-19 market Street. The cost per session is $15 or a $2 drop in fee will apply. Our fall session will run from September 11th- November 13th. All Members must be a military dependant of the 22 Wing Defence Team (DND/MFRC/PSP). Join us to learn how mindfulness can enrich your life. This practice will improve your emotional and physical well-being! We meet once a week for lighthearted discussions, sharing and mindfulness mediation practice in a safe non-judgemental environment. Come BREATHE with us…we meet Wednesday evenings from September to June 6:30-7:30pm in the lower of the MFRC. No experience necessary! What is Mindfulness?
