YOU’RE INVITED to celebrate Veteran Family Day at the north bay MFRC THURSDAY MAY 30th, 2019 OPEN HOUSE 9:30am – 11:30am Open to the public, including: civilians, serving members, veterans, families, service providers, etc. Including a reading by Mayor Al McDonald of the proclamation of Veteran Family Day, and information booths hosted by the VFP, MFRC program coordinators and its community partners. INFORMATION SESSION 5:30pm – 7:00pm Featuring presentations by Veteran Family Program Staff, Veterans Affairs Canada, OSISS and more, geared towards releasing members, veterans and their families. Information booths will also be set up throughout the MFRC. Building Blocks Begins Thursday April 11th ~ 5:30-7pm 8 week program for children 8-12yrs This 8 week program is an evidence-based social skills program using Lego building blocks to assist in the development of communication and appropriate social interaction. Teen Centre Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6-10pm The Teen Centre, located in the Community Centre, 19 Market Street, offers a variety of activities and events that are designed by Teens and supervised by Staff. Parents are welcome to stop by at any time, should they have any questions or concerns. Teens! Come check us out and play a game of pool, Playstation, Wii, or watch movies on our big screen TV, surf the net, meet other teens in the community or just hang out and chat with your friends. We have a wide selection of board games, movies and video games as well as a stocked canteen. Join the Teen Council! We are always looking for new members.
