Attention members of the Veteran Community - Become certified in Mental Health First Aid In support of the Veteran Community and in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, a customized version of the Mental Health First Aid for members of the Veteran Community is being offered in your area. The training will be offered in collaboration with the North Bay Military Family Resource Centre and will be offered in English. Mental Health First Aid Veteran Community is the help provided to members of the Veteran Community developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. It does not train people to become counsellors or therapists and just like with physical first aid, we need to ensure that those most in contact with members of the Veteran Community can identify an emerging mental health problem and respond effectively in the event of a crisis. Teen Centre @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm Teen Centre Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6-10pm The Teen Centre, located in the Community Centre, 19 Market Street, offers a variety of activities and events that are designed by Teens and supervised by Staff. Parents are welcome to stop by at any time, should they have any questions or concerns. Teens! Come check us out and play a game of pool, Playstation, Wii, or watch movies on our big screen TV, surf the net, meet other teens in the community or just hang out and chat with your friends. We have a wide selection of board games, movies and video games as well as a stocked canteen. Join the Teen Council! We are always looking for new members.
